On Statehood Day, 25 June 2018, France Prešeren, the greatest Slovenian poet, was honoured with a monument and park in Podgorica. The monument consists of an abstract composition of hexagonal prisms symbolising a honeycomb, a structure that reflects Prešeren's central role in the literary almanac “Kranjska čbelica” (The Carniolan Bee). Žurbi concrete elements adorn the entire Prešeren Park in Podgorica. A concrete drinking fountain and benches in white polished concrete offer visitors a dynamic experience as they take in the imposing 15-tonne concrete monument.
